So earlier this year I went to the doctor to have my blood pressure checked for work. My doctor encouraged me to get out and start running, even going so far as suggesting I sign up for 5k marathon to get myself in gear. I laughed at him, but then I started running in Florida and then my neighborhood. The first few times I was winded way too early and hated every step, but as I did it more I felt better and better about it, and now I can run the entire neighborhood. My doctor says that I'm on the right track, and need to continue what I'm doing. I listen to audiobooks and podcasts while I run so I'm expanding my brain as I try to get more fit. Woohoo!
