With all the hoopla over the presidential election I decided to leave it in God's hands and check out the last couple of days of the campaign. I voted on Tuesday the way a good legal citizen should, but I did not listen or watch any live programs or news broadcasts the entire day. Tuesday night Sue and I enjoyed watching stuff on Netflix and I avoided any announcements or news until bedtime. Even on Wednesday I avoided news outlets until after lunch.
This was the calmest and most relaxed election event I've ever had! It was weird to hear others talking about how they stayed up late watching results roll in - I had left it in the Lord's hands and had complete peace about it no matter the outcome.
I'll have to remember to try this again in 4 years!
